#TieDye

We’ve been tracking #tiedye as a key print technique since the Fashion Feed began. From #tiedye’s youthful free-spirited origins to its new revival, we’ve seen it evolve into #distorteddye followed by pared-back #watercolour-inspired dyes in womenswear. Our latest update? #Stripeddye from the S/S 20 catwalks, which embraces natural, blotchy results and has been picked up by fashion heavyweights such as Burberry.

#NewFemininity

In 2018, we started tracking #newfemininity, with designers like Cecilie Bahnsen pioneering a fresh and at times exaggerated take on feminine style. A year on, Bahnsen’s voluminous dresses and exaggerated sleeves keep gaining traction. Watch out for CSM grad Yuhan Wang, who we are tipping as the next Bahnsen, with her sensual and hyper-romantic take on #newfemininity.

WGSN’s versatile colour for 2020 has been picking up pace on the Fashion Feed throughout 2019, ready to hit mass next year. #Neomint transcends trends, working as well on streetwear (the MSGM tracksuit, Valentino men’s jacket) as it does on tulle eveningwear at Molly Goddard. It has a genderless appeal and treads the line between a technical and natural colour, making it a must-try for 2020.
